I've decided that every evening this month, I am going to think back on my day and pin-point one thing that I was extra grateful for that day. I imagine some things will be more extravagant than others. But, it doesn't matter how big it is. It is still something I will have recognized and thanked Heavenly Father for. I'm really wanting to do this and try to better recognize the things I'm blessed with. I encourage all of YOU to do this as well. Of course, you don't have to share publicly but, write them down in your journal so that when you're having a bad day, you can look back and remember all the things you are grateful for!

My mama!
Today is Tam Tam's birthday! How grateful I am that she was born so that 30 years later she could be my mom. Everyone always says that their mom is the best mom ever! And I am one to go ahead and say that as well. My mom is the best mom ever! But as I've gotten older, I've come to realize something more important... She is the best mom, for me. Heavenly Father knew what he was doing when he decided to make Tammy my mom. He knew I needed her if I was going to have any chance here on this earth. The other day a girl in my statistics class, who was also one of April's mission companions, was telling me about her weekend and how she was with my parents over at the Woolley's. She mentioned how she thinks me and my mom are just alike. She said the way we talk and our mannerisms and just our whole personality are the exact same. Adam tells me that too. He says I get my sass and my love for gossip from her. Haha! So many people tell me how I am exactly like my mother. And although it's funny to act like I don't want to be told that, it's actually one of the best compliments I could receive. So grateful for my mom.

Utah Weather
I absolutely love living in Utah where we have all 4 beautiful seasons and get to experience each so strongly. There is snow on the mountains for the first time this fall. The air is crisp and my fingers started to go numb as I walked to school. Winter is coming after a long beautiful fall! It was kind of a dark, gloomy day with lots of fog over the mountains and little sprinkles of rain here and there. If it would have rained a bit more, it would have been Adam's favorite type of weather. He loves dark stormy days. I love looking forward to and getting ready for the next season. Bring on the snow!

Sports
I am grateful that Adam and I have a mutual love for sports. Tonight, Adam had his first intramural basketball game of the season. He is signed up to play on 3 different intramural teams. BYU, UVU, and a PG league. I think I look forward to his basketball games more than he does. I absolutely love watching him play basketball. HE'S SO GOOD! And I love watching him do what he loves. I love sports and exercising and it's even funner with him. I'm glad I have a body that allows me to be active!
Haha, obviously I had to get a picture of him doing something super cool, right?

Taylor Swift's new album
I love Taylor Swift. Always have always will. Her new album is all I've been listening to since it came out. My favorite songs: Bad blood, Wildest Dreams, and This Love. I love loving music. When I have a favorite song/album/artist, I love having something that I'm excited to listen to and eager to put on as I drive.

My calling
I am a beehive adviser in the Young Womens program. Tonight was YW in Excellence which is where all the yw in the ward display a project they have been working on throughout the year. Each girl stood up and talked about their project and then at the end we all were able to go around and look at what each girl had accomplished this year. It ranges from reading the Book of Mormon, to making and participating on the soccer team, to sewing a quilt. I was so genuinely proud of each of the girls that stood up. I have grown to love them so much. I have the best calling in the world and I'm so grateful Heavenly Father trusts me as one of their leaders!

Institute
Today was my favorite day in class so far this semester. I'm currently in a class where we are studying the first half of the BOM. Today we studied Mosiah 14-17. We focused on how Jesus Christ atoned for our sins and how it is through his sacrifice that we can be saved. My institute teacher brought such insight and the spirit was so strong. I'm so grateful that I can go to institute 2 times a week and learn more about my Savior.

Weekends
I have had so much homework this past week and this next week is going to be even worse. This weekend is much needed to give me time away from school and work. To relax a bit. But mostly to just catch up on all that I'm needing to do. Also, Adam and I went with Brayden and Carly Hill to see the movie Interstellar tonight. Highly recommend it. If you're into being super confused and stuff. ;)
