Pt 1/5

This past weekend some of the teachers and I took off on one of our "bigger" vacations. It was a 5 day weekend and we took full advantage of it! Friday morning we got up at got going on the 6am bus to the beautiful city of Taxco! It was a longgg 6 hour bus ride but every minute of it was worth it. Taxco is the most beautiful city.

These are my attempts at trying to capture the beauty of this city. These do no justice for Taxco. It was an incredible white city on a big mountain.
We arrived Friday afternoon and checked into our hostel. We got a map and decided to get familiar with the city. Wow, we sure did become one with that city. Like I said, the city is on the side of a mountain. You know what that means... hills
Killer leg and glut workout. I've got untouchable calves now. And buns of steel.
Or so I wish....

But we seriously were all so sore after our two days in Taxco. I don't know how they survive there! I suppose they must take the taxis everywhere. As I said earlier, the city was completely white, that doesn't just include all the buildings and homes. Cars and buses were white too. All these white VW's are their taxis. They were endless.

The city is known for their silver. So, Friday night after walking around and getting familiar with the city, we hit up the silver markets.

People say Taxco is a little Italy. I thought it looked a lot like Greece in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Haha. Either way, it was pretty European and very beautiful. I never wanted to leave.

This was like a mini Cristo Redentor in Rio. It was beautiful.

Friday was a so great but it only got better... keep an out for the my posts about the other exciting adventures we had this weekend.

Buenas noches.
